There is a tendancy today to refer to America as a "democracy." It isn't. It is a Constitutional Republic. A nation of laws.
In a pure democracy, when the population votes half plus one wins the day. The rights of the minority are frequently disregarded. Pure democracies are neither long-lasting nor stable.
In a Constitutional Republic our elected representatives consider, debate and vote on subjects that are important to all our lives. Idaho happily enjoys that same kind of government. Every two years our representatives, both the House and Senate, stand for election or reelection. If "we, the people" of Idaho are dissatisfied with the job they have done, that is the time to make changes.
